Dairy Status of Visbiome

Visbiome is Lactose-Free

The strains of beneficial probiotic bacteria in Visbiome are highly concentrated natural yogurt bacteria. These bacteria are fermented using some dairy ingredients to ensure their health and vitality. During the manufacturing process this fermentation “medium” is separated from the bacteria, but some trace levels may remain which contain dairy components. The level of dairy is extremely small but could have implications for some people with sensitivity to dairy. Please consult with your healthcare professional if you have sensitivity to dairy and are considering Visbiome.

Processing methods eliminate lactose even though other milk components are left behind (similar to lactose-free milk). Lactose was not detectable in amounts greater than 50 parts per million (PPM).
